Hi, I’m Dana! A former dancer and recovering perfectionist, I started practicing yoga in 2012 while seeking movement, peace and release amidst a swell of personal change and settling into life in NYC. The benefits of the practice - mental focus, clarity, and a true mind-body connection helped me to start honing self-regulating skills. I soon realized I was also becoming physically and mentally stronger on and off the mat, with the bonus of meeting like-minded people along the way.
Yoga and mindfulness has taught me to come back to myself. To practice remaining stable and level-headed in our often overstimulating and intense world. To be more present and less anxious. To meet challenges with a sense of lightness. And to be confident that I have the grounding and resilience to move forward.
ABOUT ME
I completed my 200 hour yoga certification in January 2021 and am registered with Yoga Alliance. I have participated in retreats to Cuba, Nicaragua, Italy, and Portugal as well as taken advanced teaching courses and trainings.
Universal philosophy combined with the consistent physical and mindful practice of yoga provides us with tools and a strong foundation to move through the world with more awareness. When we are more aware, we can relax and enjoy more easily, handle challenges head on, and go for our biggest goals. It starts from the inside out.
Discover ways to get involved! Life is better when you live with more light.
